When you are railfanning, always pay attention to the road
signs. This sign was found in Port Royal, SC while chasing
the Port Royal Railroad. We didn't find the shortline this
time, but this sign was almost worth the trip:

When you railfan in Georgia, please pay particular attention
to this fast growing plant called kudzu. It may appear to
be harmless, but it can be very dangerous. While the fast
growing aspect of this plant is known, a little known fact
is that the Georgia variety can leap up to 6 feet at at
time. Never stop next to a kudzu patch while railfanning
in Georgia. The minimum safe speed to pass a thick kudzu
patch along the roadway is 30 MPH. Any slower and you might
end up like these poor railfans:

Now some eye candy. No, not that kind. These are a few
