Day 0

Getting ready to head out. As always, we have plenty of equipment to lug around. How are we going to get all this stuff in that one bag?

Lets see. Laptop, with Entire US Topographic mapping software, 2 Digital SLR cameras, 1 radio scanner, 1 FM radio transmitter, DC to 110 AC converter for car to run laptop, a total of 4 GB of compact flash cards and handheld GPS. Not pictured is the point-and-shoot digital camera that I took this picture with.
