Day 0

Getting ready to head out. As always, we have plenty of equipment to lug around. Tripod, monopod and binoculars already on their way to Missoula via UPS. Here we have the rest:

Lets see. Laptop, with Entire US Topographic DVD, 2 PDAs, 2 SLR film cameras, 1 SLR digital camera, 1 radio scanner, 1 FM radio transmitter, DC to 110 AC converter for car to run laptop, a total of 4 GB of compact flash cards and of course his and her cell phones. Not pictured is the point-and-shoot digital camera that I took this picture with.
