Day 6

Well, the bad weather showed up. Cold and raining. We decided to sleep in a bit and I worked on web pages for the last three days. About 11:00, Nancy and I were tired of sitting around so we decided to go out in the rain and see what we could. We did take pictures of trains, even in the rain, but here are a few scenic pictures of the moutains and clouds.

Nancy kept looking for Bilbo in the "Misty Mountains".

At "Goat Lick Creek" we found a mother mountain goat and her two little ones. They were pretty far off for the lenses on our digital cameras but maybe you can make them out.

Now for the wet train shots. In the first picture, you can see the drops hitting the water.

The Isaak Walton Inn really follows the railroad theme. For example, they use railroad spikes all over the place. Here are a few examples.
